Conference 2026: Today, Tomorrow, Together

We are looking forward to welcoming you to Newcastle for the University Museums Group Conference, 2026! The conference is set to take place at Kings Hall, Newcastle University on Monday 15 June. Please find here details about the programme, location and timings, as well as a link to sign up.

This conference will ask how university museums respond meaningfully to changing academic, cultural, economic and social landscapes. How do we demonstrate value within universities? What opportunities and challenges arise from working at the intersection of disciplines, institutions and communities?  Why do collaboration and partnerships matter now more than ever, and how can we be better collaborators? What kinds of leadership, creativity and experimentation do we need for our future?

Please find the programme for the conference here: University Museums_ Today, Tomorrow, Together
